Vantage Data Centers, a US-based provider of data centre solutions, plans to invest $3bn in the opening of a new data centre, KUL II, in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. The centre will deliver 256MW of capacity.

Vantage Data Centers already has a Cyberjaya project active. Cyberjaya 1 is a two-hectare campus that has four date centres and offers 41MW of critical IT load. The campus is a 30-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. KUL II will be sited over 14 hectares, next to Cyberjaya 1. When completed it will include ten data centres covering 256,000m².
