Grupo Konecta, a Spain-based company that provides business process outsourcing services, has invested $90m (€80.24m) to open its third delivery centre in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. The new centre spans 2,400m² and will create 300 new jobs. Konecta has ten centres in Argentina in total.

Cordoba is the second-largest city in Argentina behind capital Buenos Aires, with a population of more than 1.3 million. It is located in the central-north area of the country. Its economy is based around manufacturing, particularly related to automotives, with Renault and Volkswagen both having operations in the city. It is also considered the technological centre of Argentina, attracting investment from the likes of Motorola and Intel.

Konecta has more than 200 site operations around the world in 25 countries. Other than Argentina and home market Spain, the countries it has the biggest presence in are Colombia (36 sites), Italy (29), France (19), the Czech Republic (ten) and Morocco and Turkey (eight each).
