Modine’s new site, spanning 9,290sqm, will produce data centre cooling equipment under the ‘Airedale by Modine’ brand. Additionally, it will also manufacture cooling modules for stationary power generation equipment.

Eric McGinnis, president of Climate Solutions at Modine, referred to the new site as a significant milestone in the company’s global growth strategy.

“The data centre market in India and across the region is growing rapidly. Establishing in-region manufacturing strengthens our ability to serve APAC data centre customers with speed, precision, and locally tailored solutions,” he added.

Neil D. Brinker, president and CEO said, “By increasing capacity and establishing production facilities in India, we are in a strong position to provide a range of highly engineered enabling technologies to the data centre industry.”

This is Modine’s second facility in India. Modine Thermal Systems India opened in 2007 and designs and manufactures cooling modules for off-highway and commercial vehicles, and power generation equipment.

Modine Manufacturing, headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin, employs over 11,000 people globally. This new facility follows its recently announced $100m expansion of US manufacturing capacity. Furthermore, in 2024, it also announced investments in Calgary, Canada, and Bradford, UK.
