Rimac Energy, a provider of advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS) and a subdivision of Croatian electric carmaker Rimac Technology, has opened a new facility in Witney, Oxfordshire, UK.

The rapidly expanding UK team of Rimac Energy is anticipated to be housed in the new building, which will also function as a centre for technological innovation.

The new manufacturing facility will produce the company’s next-generation BESS and create more than 70 high-quality jobs for engineers, technicians and researchers in the UK technology industry and the Oxfordshire region.

According to Wasim Sarwar Dilov, director at Rimac Energy, “The UK has always been at the forefront of technological innovation, and we are thrilled to be expanding our footprint here. We’re proud to strengthen the Croatia-UK partnership, support the local community, and are excited to be able to tap into the incredible engineering talent pool in the region to help us build a greener future for the planet.”

In October 2023, with the introduction of SineStack, Rimac Energy entered the European market for battery storage systems intended for commercial and industrial use, as well as utilities.
