Singapore-based Darwinbox, a global human resources (HR) tech unicorn, has opened a new office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The new branch is situated in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) free zone and will serve as a strategic hub for the company’s customers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The company plans to hire several staff across its sales, engineering and customer excellence departments. Darwinbox is aiming for 400% growth in MENA and anticipates that being in DIFC will bring it closer to Dubai’s vibrant business ecosystem and enable greater connection with enterprises, investors and partners.

In a press release, co-founder Chaitanya Peddi commented: “Countries such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia are global leaders in digital transformation. Our new-age HR tech platform understands the pulse of the region – be it culture, context or challenges. It will prove to be a technological catalyst helping regional enterprises manage their talent better and also empower them to fulfil their digital ambitions.”

In January 2022, Darwinbox achieved unicorn status following a $72m series D funding round led by US-based Technology Crossover Ventures.
