US-based Squire Patton Boggs, an international law firm, has announced it will open a new office in Dublin, Ireland, in May 2023. It will be the firm’s 15th location in Europe and will complement its portfolio of more than 40 offices worldwide. Partner Dennis Agnew, a former founding partner of Pinsent Mason’s Dublin office, will join Squire Patton Boggs to launch the new office. Agnew will serve as managing partner and lead the firm’s efforts to recruit additional talent.

The company’s chief executive officer, Mark Ruehlmann, commented in a company press release: “Launching in Ireland, one of the world’s fastest growing economies, is another important milestone in our global expansion and reaffirms our commitment to providing clients with premium counsel wherever they do business.”

Squire Patton Boggs is headquartered in Ohio and was formed in 2014 by the merger of multinational law firm Squire Sanders with Washington, DC-based Patton Boggs.
