Fintech unicorn Payhawk opens New York office

UK-based Payhawk, the developer of a global spend management solution, has opened a new office in New York. The opening follows a year of record growth for the company, in which revenue has grown by more than 520% and employee headcount by over 250%.

Payhawk has also released a US credit card to support global scale-ups and enterprises with multiple offices across Europe and the US. The launch is a key part of the company’s expansion strategy and will help meet growing market demand.

In a press release, chief executive officer Hristo Borisov commented: “Our expansion to the US is yet another exciting step on our journey to better support our international client base, and simplify the tech stack of global finance teams.”

Payhawk was founded in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2018 before relocating its headquarters to London. The company achieved unicorn status in March 2022 and operates offices in Berlin, Barcelona, Paris and Amsterdam.
