Cargo-Partner expands its UK road-hub operations.

Austria-based international transport and logistics provider, Cargo-Partner, has opened its first warehouse facility in the UK.

Located next to one of Cargo-Partner’s offices in Basildon, the brand new 4,460 m2 warehouse facility enhances the company’s existing UK operations in Manchester, Bradford, and London.

The Basildon warehouse, featuring specific zones for pallet storage, block storage, small parts storage, picking and packing, and additional services, is described by Cargo-Partner as seamlessly connecting to their worldwide network. This marks a notable achievement in the company’s strategic expansion endeavors.

Fergal Keenan, Cargo-Partner‘s managing director for Ireland and the UK, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing to deliver on our growth strategy, providing another great location for us to support our customers and partners. While we have always offered warehousing services through partners, the Basildon facility represents our first cargo-partner managed warehousing facility in the UK. This strategic investment marks a significant milestone in our journey to provide end-to-end logistics solutions to our customers.”

The company currently has an extensive network of warehouses in Europe, Southeast Asia, and the US, totaling over 300,000 m² of storage space. The company has recently made significant investments in logistics facilities in Western Europe, such as the 10,000 m² logistics center in Sottrum near Hamburg, Germany, and the 5,900 m² warehouse in Roermond, the Netherlands.

Cargo-Partner’s expansion into Basildon comes after a period of swift expansion in the UK and Ireland, highlighted by the launch of a fourth office near London Heathrow Airport in November 2023. In addition to the new location in Basildon, the company also has a strong foothold in Dublin, Ireland.
