Wipro, an Indian technology services and consulting company, has opened its new regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as it relocates its offices from the coastal city of Al Khobar. The Wipro executive team, employees and clients attended the inauguration ceremony for the new office in Riyadh.

Vinay Firake, Wipro CEO for Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa, said: “The establishment of our new regional headquarters in Riyadh reaffirms our commitment to supporting the dynamic business landscape in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

“This strategic move, combined with our ongoing involvement in supporting the goals of the Kingdom, aligns with our vision of driving sustained growth and a future-ready workforce in the region. This commitment is strengthened by the recent appointment of Mohamed Mousa as our new Managing Director for Wipro Middle East out of our Riyadh headquarters, which will further advance our decades-long presence in the Middle East,” Firake added.

This marks the most recent expansion of Wipro’s increasing footprint in the region, which includes offices in Riyadh, Al Khobar, Jeddah, and Jubail.

Alongside the inauguration of this new office, Wipro has recently entered into a memorandum of understanding with Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University to create a Centre of Excellence in Riyadh.

This collaboration is designed to enhance the skills of local talent by offering academic training in advanced technologies, practical experience, and access to Wipro’s resources. The CoE will concentrate on preparing young Saudi nationals with skills that are relevant for the future, thereby developing a talent pool that can contribute value to both organisations and the kingdom.
