Trutzschler Group, a German textile machinery manufacturer, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat, India. The investment was made through its Indian subsidiary, Trutzschler India Pvt Ltd (TIPL).

Initially announced in 2022, Trutzschler’s new site fortifies its presence in the country. The plant aims to produce superior textile machinery to address the surging domestic demand. Additionally, it will also facilitate digital transformation, enhance automation, and bolster innovation capabilities.

Trutzschler’s new factory, spanning 36,000sqm, includes significant upgrades in infrastructure and technology. It features advanced machinery such as laser cutters, computer numerical control tools, turn-mill centres, and powder coating systems. These enhancements offer elevated production levels and optimised operations to align with international efficiency standards.

Dr. Schurrenkramer, the company’s promoter, stated that the company’s objective is to deliver quality products in the Indian market. He also thanked the state government for its assistance and cooperation.

“The trust and confidence of Indian customers over the years have encouraged us to become a ‘dominant player’ in the Indian textile market and to start this new plant here,” he added.

Headquartered in the German city of Monchengladbach, Trutzschler has nine manufacturing sites worldwide. It has over 3,000 employees globally. Last year, in March 2024, it announced a new site in Usak, Turkey.
