Canada-based Savaria, a global leader in the accessibility industry, has opened a factory in Querétaro City, Mexico.

Canada-based Savaria, a designer and manufacturer of accessibility equipment, has opened a new factory in Querétaro City, Mexico. The 8,826m2 facility will help the company meet growing demand from its US-based dealer network. The site’s proximity to the US market will also reduce lead times and freight costs.

Savaria will produce the Multilift – a vertical platform lift for home and commercial use – at the site. The company is also hiring additional staff with plans to create 100 jobs by the end of 2023.

Sébastien Bourassa, vice-president of operations and integration, commented: “This marks another great achievement for Savaria, and I thank all the employees who participated in the preparation and opening of our new operation.”
