Rolls-Royce, a British multinational aerospace and defence company, has opened a 700-seat global capability and innovation centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, India, its largest and most advanced facility worldwide.
The centre will accommodate a segment of the company’s worldwide digital expertise and enterprise services group, in conjunction with engineering teams that assist the civil aerospace and defence sectors. This will support the company’s intentions to increase its procurement from India over the upcoming five years.

The new facility was officially opened at the Manyata Embassy Business Park. Karnataka Minister for Large and Medium Industries M. B. Patil highlighted that Bengaluru is among the top three cities globally for attracting international investments.
“Our state hosts companies with strengths across the entire aerospace and defence value chain. In power systems and propulsion, leaders like Aequs and Collins Aerospace stand out. In structural and mechanical components, Wipro and Mahindra Aerospace are driving progress. In specialised technologies, Boeing, Airbus, and Pixxel are pioneers. And in end-manufacturing, Sarla and Tata Advanced Systems are making significant contributions,” Patil said.
He said that the Karnataka Aerospace & Defence Policy offers an attractive incentive package for investors.
“Here, research institutions, global companies, and home-grown startups work together to advance technology and manufacturing,” Patil added.
