The facility is the latest addition to the company’s global network, comprising 44 Automation Centres and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) labs. The new venture aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises improve their production capabilities and adopt globally competitive automation solutions across South India.
The centre will contribute to the government’s ‘Make in India’ industrial strategy and Industry 4.0 adoption through the provision of a collaborative space where manufacturers, machine builders and system integrators can explore automation strategies, test concepts and receive technical training.

The Automation Centre underscores India’s profound importance to our global as well as Asia Pacific vision and is designed to work hand-in-hand with local partners to enhance their global competitiveness and jointly address evolving societal needs through innovative automation.”
Sameer Gandhi, Omron Automation India’s managing director, says: “Our Automation Centre takes a solutions-based approach to help Indian manufacturers tackle the challenges of building safer workplaces, delivering higher quality products, and improve efficiencies,”
