Kyndryl, a US-based provider of essential enterprise technology services, has established its ASEAN Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Lab in Singapore. The lab will aim to deliver enterprise AI solutions with advanced security features throughout Southeast Asia.
The new facility is set to hire around 50 AI experts, including data scientists, data engineers, and AI developers to enable the adoption of AI technologies and facilitate growth throughout the region.
The lab will focus on guiding clients in integrating AI capabilities, combining technologies, and offering software and platform engineering solutions via Kyndryl Consult. Additionally, it will host a collaborative experience with Kyndryl Vital, enabling clients to address business issues through design-oriented thinking.
Andrew Lim, Kyndryl ASEAN and Korea’s managing director, said: “Our ASEAN AI Innovation Lab underscores Kyndryl’s long-term commitment to the region. Our experience in designing and delivering complex systems at scale gives us an advantage in implementing end-to-end AI solutions. By partnering with Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), Google Cloud and other ecosystem players, we aim to scale trustworthy and high-impact AI solutions that enable businesses to move faster and smarter with responsible AI principles at the core.”
Kyndryl is collaborating with Google Cloud and DISG to assist companies in Singapore in accelerating their AI transformation through the AI Cloud Takeoff program, which is part of DISG’s Enterprise Compute Initiative.
As a founding partner of Kyndryl’s ASEAN AI Innovation Lab, Google Cloud is offering access to Vertex AI, BigQuery, Agent Development Kit (ADK), and Google Agentspace to streamline the development of AI solutions.
