The Japanese technology company Hioki has inaugurated its Vietnamese subsidiary, Hioki Electric Vietnam, at a ceremony in Hanoi last Friday (June 27).

This represents a milestone in Hioki’s strategy for global expansion and underlines the company’s commitment to helping Vietnam’s efforts to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. This is in line with the commitments Vietnam made at COP26, which have led them to pursue green transition policies with a particular focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and environmental technologies.

The new subsidiary hopes to act as a bridge between Hioki and its local partners, enabling the company to derive more value from its electrical measuring instruments.

Takahiro Okazawa, chairman of Hioki E.E. Corporation, said: “The establishment of Hioki Electric Vietnam is a strategic step in our journey of innovation and global business expansion. We hope to make meaningful contributions to Vietnam’s energy transition and support local enterprises in their pursuit of sustainable development.”

The electrical engineering company seeks to improve productivity and manufacturing quality across various sectors. Additionally, Hioki plays a role in identifying and averting potential failures in electrical systems and workplace settings.

The Vietnamese subsidiary will be headed by Kazuhiro Takezawa. Hioki Electric Vietnam is headquartered at Taisei Square in Hanoi, with a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City.
