Fictiv, a digital manufacturing platform provider, has opened a new office in Pune, India. It will operate as an engineering centre and allow the company to better serve its manufacturing partner network in India.

Rahul Vaidya, director of engineering at Fictiv, said the company chose Pune due to the skilled workforce availability: “There is a thriving engineering, manufacturing, and IT talent pool in the Pune region”. He added: “This physical investment in the Pune community shows that Fictiv is here to stay as a stable presence for India’s booming start-up economy, and as we keep adding to our best-in-class technology team, it will only fuel our momentum to launch ground-breaking developments in the near horizon.”

Fictiv has created 30 jobs at its new Pune office and plans to rapidly increase its headcount. In May 2022, the company raised $100m series E funding led by Activate Capital, which included new investors Angeleno Group, Cross Creek, and The Westly Group. Fictiv plans to use the funding to accelerate product innovation with an expanded focus on decreasing supply chain risk.
