Australia-based NineZero DC Management (or DCI Data Centers) has launched a new data centre in Adelaide, Australia. DCI Data Centers is a wholly owned portfolio company of the Canadian-based Brookfield Corporation, a multinational investment management company.
DCI has invested around A$70m ($45.5m) in the new data centre nicknamed Adelaide 02 (ADL02). It is DCI’s second facility in the South Australian region.

It is located at Kidman Park, which also houses DCI’s previous ADL01 data centre. ADL02 has increased the campus’ total capacity by 4MW, reaching 5.4MW of total IT load. It can handle large-scale IT operations and is designed to meet stringent security standards.
The ADL02 data centre also offers various other features such as strategic location, robust power supply, sustainability, and enhanced security.
DCI president and chief development officer Shane Ross said, “The opening of ADL02 underscores our commitment to enhancing the reliability and security of South Australia’s digital infrastructure.”
“This facility will support the state’s economic growth and technological advancement by providing secure data housing for key industry players in South Australia,” he added.

By GlobalDataStephen Mullighan, the treasurer of South Australia, praised the facility and highlighted its security. He added that the site would support a “thriving digital infrastructure ecosystem.”
In January 2024, DCI announced a new data centre in Seoul, South Korea.
