Danone North America, part of the French food and beverage corporation Danone, has unveiled a new production line at its manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, Florida, US.

The $65m expansion, announced in 2023, has established a new bottle production line. It supports the growth of Danone’s coffee and creamer portfolio, including ‘International Delight’, ‘Silk’, and ‘SToK’.

The new production line incorporates advanced technology for a bottle-moulding process, boosting production capacity while enhancing efficiency and sustainability. This will result in a 30% decrease in bottle loss and lower water consumption for producing Danone’s recyclable bottles.

Additionally, the expansion includes a new regional distribution centre aimed at improving the supply chain efficiency throughout the Southeastern US.

Through these latest additions, the company has generated 200 new direct and indirect jobs for the local Jacksonville community.

Dan Magliocco, president of Danone North America, remarked that the expansion underlined the company’s commitment to American manufacturing.
