
BAADER, a German food processing and technology company, has announced the opening of its latest production facility, BAADER Food Systems Asia Sdn—Bhd., situated in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.
The new site represents a strategic location for BAADER, as the firm aims to widen its operational presence in Southeast Asia and strengthen its dedication to promoting innovative and sustainable practices in Malaysia.
The Shah Alam facility will be vital in providing high-performance machinery, digital monitoring solutions and data-driven production insights.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by numerous guests, such as Selangor’s Chief Minister Amirudin Shari, Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Malaysia Ulrike Wold, BAADER Global CEO Petra Baader and Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA) executive director Norhizam Ibrahim.
Minister Shari expressed his appreciation of the German company’s investment in Selangor, which aligns with the state’s strategy to generate 100,000 high-quality jobs and strengthen its workforce.
MIDA CEO Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid said: “BAADER’s advanced food processing technologies play a vital role in strengthening the stability and efficiency of the food supply chain. By enhancing processing capabilities, minimising waste, and optimising resource utilisation, BAADER’s innovations are instrumental in supporting the sustainable production needed to feed a growing global population. This event marks an important step in our continued efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for advanced manufacturing and food processing technology.”
