Texas-based AECOM, a global provider of engineering, consulting and project management services, has announced the opening of a new office in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia. The office will accommodate more than 50 staff and strengthen the company’s operations in the country. It covers almost 650m2 and will provide executive programme management, design governance and guardianship, infrastructure and asset design and engineering, and integrated asset and facility management services to the Royal Commission for Al Ula.

Welcoming Aecom into the country, Amr AlMadani, CEO of the Royal Commission for Al Ula, said: “The presence of globally renowned companies such as Aecom in Al Ula is central to our goal of transforming the area into a dynamic and thriving business hub that will attract global talent, provide opportunities for existing talent and boost the ongoing development of not just Al Ula but the kingdom’s greater north-west region.”

Aecom became an independent company formed by the merger of five entities in 1990. The company employees 51,000 staff across 88 global office locations.
