The relocation, which will see LogChain establish its base in the Liverpool City region, is intended to support the scaling of interoperable digital trade infrastructure across multiple markets and reinforce links along the UK–Southeast Asia digital trade corridor.
The company plans to invest up to £4m ($5.45m) in the region over the next three years as part of the shift.
LogChain’s arrival will place it alongside more than 1,000 digital and technology firms already operating in Liverpool.
This is expected to create employment opportunities and contribute to economic activity in Merseyside, aligning with the UK government’s Trade Strategy introduced last year.

UK Business and Trade Secretary Peter Kyle said: “LogChain’s decision to set up shop in Liverpool is a clear vote of confidence in the UK and the North West as we build the most innovative trading environment in the world.
“This move strengthens our tech ecosystem, boosts future exports, and shows the UK is the place to be for cutting edge digital trade.
“The UK was the first G7 country to put electronic trade documents on the same level footing as paper documents, leading the way in modern global trade and strengthening our tech sector which is worth around £1tn.”
The decision to shift its headquarters follows a series of recent developments in digital trade, including pilot projects with Germany and France that have helped position the UK as a leading jurisdiction in the global digital trade environment.
This latest announcement comes as the UK government advances a programme for digital trade that highlights tools such as electronic bills of lading, digital identity and AI-enabled logistics as increasingly significant components of international exporting activity.
