The nearly 83,613sqm site will produce advanced hydraulic hoses for industrial and mobile applications. Additionally, it will serve various industries, including construction, agriculture, mining, and energy.

The new site will operate in close coordination with ContiTech’s existing plant in Norfolk, Nebraska, boosting operational efficiency. Together, these strategically aligned locations will enable ContiTech to better meet evolving customer demands by optimising volume, technology, and lead times across a unified regional network.

Andreas Gerstenberger, CEO of ContiTech USA and head of Business Area Industrial Solutions Americas, called the plant opening a significant milestone in ContiTech’s ongoing commitment to serving customers across the Americas.

“We’re investing in technology and capacity, and also in people and in opportunities for mutual value creation with customers and partners,” he added.

Tomas Kostenec, head of Operations at ContiTech Industrial Solutions Americas, stated that the Aguascalientes plant represented the next level of operational capability for ContiTech.

The new facility is Continental’s 22nd plant in Mexico and the second in the state of Aguascalientes. It develops automotive components, rubber products and tires exported to different countries. The company has more than 23,000 employees in the country. Earlier this year, it also announced a plant expansion in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
