The new facility will manufacture Aeroxide, an advanced fumed aluminium oxide solution. Aeroxide enhances performance and durability through its ultra-thin coating technology. It has applications for various sectors, including electric mobility, consumer electronics, and sustainable powder coatings. Additionally, it improves efficiency and longevity while promoting sustainable, resource-efficient solutions.

The Alu5 plant, utilising advanced production technology, sets new benchmarks for quality, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. Built through collaboration between Evonik’s custom solutions and advanced technology segments, it supports the company’s vision for sustainable growth in specialty chemicals. This initiative also meets the rising demand for innovative products, enhancing the company’s competitive advantage.

Emmanuel Auer, head of Evonik’s Smart Effects business line, called the facility launch more than just another capacity expansion.

“It’s a strategic move to bring our aluminium oxide products closer to our customers in Asia,” he added.
