The facility, spanning 16,500sqm, begins operations with approximately 60,000 part lines for equipment such as loader cranes, forklifts, cable hoists, and refuse loaders.
Situated in proximity to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport and the Rockford cargo hub, along with interstate corridors, the centre employs an AutoStore robotic system for parts selection. It anticipates handling 75,000 shipments annually in collaboration with its global logistics partner, the German company L.I.T.
Palfinger chief executive Andreas Klauser said: “Service is a growth driver for Palfinger, and North America is one of our important markets. The Huntley facility is a major investment in keeping our customers up and running. It’s about speed, reliability, and demonstrating our commitment and confidence to this region.”
The newly established parts distribution centre functions as the primary hub for Palfinger’s spare parts operations across North America, enhancing the company’s expanding online parts ordering system.
