
MKS’ Atotech, a surface finishing brand under MKS Instruments headquartered in Berlin, Germany, has announced the opening of its new facility located in Derio, Bizkaia, Spain.
This strategic investment aims to bolster the company’s general metal finishing operations throughout both Spain and Portugal.
Covering an area of more than 2,000sqm, this state-of-the-art facility features sophisticated laboratories for chemical and material sciences, contemporary office spaces, and infrastructure to accommodate future growth.
The newly established site will acts as a central point for essential operational activities in Southern Europe, encompassing sales and service, chemical and physical laboratories, material science, finance, HES, and IT.
This facility aims to enable faster response times, enhanced technical support, and more robust partnerships with customers throughout Spain, Portugal, and the broader Southern European region.
