Crane Worldwide Logistics, a US-based provider of transportation and logistics services, has opened its new warehouse in Cork County to enhance its warehouse presence in Ireland and offer job opportunities in the county.
The new site is located in the heart of the Waterford Business Park, close to the N25 Waterford and the M8 Dublin motorway, with direct access to Cork Airport and Ringaskiddy port. The warehouse covers 11705.78 m2, and is an ideal distribution hub for both Irish and international customers.
Gerard Ryan, President of Global Commercial at Crane Worldwide, said: “This is a groundbreaking celebration for our team in Ireland, who have worked tirelessly to place the new Cork warehouse on the map. The investment in this prime real estate presents an opportunity for companies to grow their distribution capabilities with tailored 3PL support and develop employment opportunities in the County. We are grateful for all the support from our dedicated clients, partners, and exceptional people to officially open the Cork facility today”.
As more and more businesses in Ireland look for shared and dedicated warehousing solutions, Crane Worldwide’s investment demonstrates their continued commitment to bringing new business not just to Cork but to Shannon and Dublin where they already have a strong base.
Crane Worldwide Ireland was awarded the 3PL Achievement Award at the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2023 for providing bespoke services to clients needing 3PL services in Ireland. The company was also recognised last year for its operational excellence during Covid, providing critical equipment to hospitals across Ireland.
